If your child is a car rider during the morning or afternoon, please read carefully because our procedures have changed. Because we have grown another 100 + students we will need for parents to fill both lanes until you reach the new merge sign and painted merge lane. This is because we must keep cars from backing up on the road.
As you approach the merge lane, you will see a sign asking you to alternate every other car into the right lane for drop-off in the morning and pick-up in the afternoon. This is a great opportunity to model how adults Synergize and work together to keep our lines moving.
Parents must remain in their cars during pick-up in the afternoon. We do not allow parents to park and walk across to pick up students. This is a safety measure. Parents are not allowed to dismiss from the office after 2:00 p.m.
Students should never be dropped off in the parking lot in the mornings. If you are not going inside the building, please remain in your car and stay in the car rider line.
Our lines move very quickly in the mornings and afternoon. However; drop off and pick-up will take longer this first week of school.
You can help keep our lines moving quickly , by teaching your child his/her car tag number and reminding them to watch for their car. If you do not have a car tag to hang on your mirror and you plan on picking your child up at the end of the day, you will be asked to park and go inside the building with your driver’s license. You may come to school tomorrow morning to get a car tag if you have not picked one up.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation with our procedures! Safety of children is our first priority!
Mrs. Jan Malone, Principal
